About us
We met at Melbourne University while training to become secondary teachers. Allan graduated B.A., Dip.Ed., TPTC and Wendy B.A., B.Litt., ATTC. We married after we graduated. Nowadays we have four adult children and four grandchildren.
Teaching and writing have been our life-time careers. We have taught in Victorian secondary schools, English Secondary Modern schools, and in our experimental rural school in India which we conducted for the Gandhian Village Uplift Movement.
We have jointly written and published biographies, oral history and school texts. Individually we have published poetry, novels and short stories.
The Australia Council Literature Board twice awarded us a Special Purpose Grant and subsidised the publication of our book All That Grief.
The Indian government subsidised a Hindustani language translation of our book JP His Biography.
Our works have been comprehensively reviewed world-wide.
Our bibliographical listings include Who’s Who of Australian Writers, Writers Directory (Chicago), and International Who’s Who of Authors and Writers (London).
